The Haarslev Screw Cooker is a heavy-duty, steam-heated unit for cooking fish and poultry raw material of varying quality with minimal pre-processing. A steam-heated screw rotor gently moves material through the insulated housing, distributing heat evenly while keeping mechanical agitation low. With capacities from 2 to 50 tons/hour, these cookers support efficient solids/liquid separation downstream and provide energy-efficient, stable cooking performance even with fluctuating feedstock.

Les points clés

Built for
performance

  • 01
Steam-heated jacket and screw rotor deliver uniform heating along the full length of the cooker, supported by insulation and stainless-steel covers. (Diagram, p.3)
  • 02
Hinged inspection hatches enable quick cleaning and visual checks without major disassembly. (Page 3 diagram)
  • 03
Condensate manifold with steam traps ensures efficient heat transfer and reliable condensate removal. (Page 3 diagram)
  • 04
Handles virtually any cold raw material and produces hot, consistent cooked output ready for separation. (Page 3 flow)
  • 05
Wide capacity range from 3.5 to 65 tons/hour across multiple models to deal with both small and large rendering operations. (Tech table, p.3)
Automation and control

Cooker performance control

CORE-SC stabilises temperature, steam pressure and rotor load to ensure uniform cooking even if raw material specifications fluctuate. It detects steam inefficiencies, predicts condensate issues, prevents overheating and alerts operators to variations that affect downstream separation. This improves energy use, uptime and meal quality.
